I Fractured 2 Ribs Three Months Ago, And They Have

I fractured 2 ribs three months ago, and they have not yet healed. Xrays show that the broken ribs are still about 1/8 of an inch apart and have not fused back together. Is there anything that can be done to speed up the healing process, and is this something that may never heal?
