I gave blood for the first time last week to the blood bank. I passed all the screening test, not anemic, no fever . about have way done I started feeling nauseous, the room started spinning and thought i was going to loose control of my bowels, the nurses put cold paks on my neck and back and telling me to cough really hard, she keep yelling me to look at her, keep my eyes open. squeeze my legs, then back,then shoulders. my arms and hands turned inward and became paralyzed. i could hear them but had no body control. Scared me to deathl Why would someone have such a adverse reaction to giving blood? Is it a sudden lose of blood that drops your blood pressure?
