I Get Bruising Around My Knees During My Period...its Been

I get bruising around my knees during my period...its been twice in a row and I don't remember bumping myself. I have varicose veins and am being checked for pelvic congestion syndrome. Could the bruising be related or could it have something to do with not enough clotting factor in my blood?
