I Got A Small Piece Of Cotton From A Q-tip

I got a small piece of cotton from a q-tip stock behind my ear drum. A piece of it broke off and I tried to reach it with the q-tip itself. What can I do to fix this situation? I'm hoping to god that a simple dr's visit can fix this and that this doesn't require surgery or me undergoing some kind of sedation.
