I Got A Sore Throat Sunday Morning. A Cold, Runny

I got a sore throat Sunday morning. A cold, runny nose and a little sneezing after that. On Monday night, I had a temp of 101.8. Took some aspirin, woke up the today and no fever. My throat is killing me still. Is this strep? How long should I wait to see if the sore throat goes away. I don't have medical insurance that covers dr appointments so am trying to avoid going to the doctor. My insurance is only preventative care so. Thx
