I Got A Splinter In My Finger Two Weeks Ago.

I got a splinter in my finger two weeks ago. I pulled it out slowly and got it all. It's taken awhile for it to heal then today pus came out and now it's swollen and red, the splinter is on my pointer finger at the crease closest to hand. I use my hands daily, and thought that's why it's taking so long to heal. I wear rubber gloves at work
