I Got Back From Miami Yesterday Afternoon. I Developed A

I got back from Miami yesterday afternoon. I developed a dry cough while there. Last night, I started loosing my voice. This morning I awake to not being able to speak. The cough has now turn to a cough with occasional phlegm. No sore throat or chest pain. I have been taking alka seltzer plus cough and cold. I have a hair appointment tomorrow. My hair need shampooing really bad for work on Monday. I am afraid that if I shampoo my hair, my condition will worsen. Also, what condition do I have?
