I Got Bit By A Bug On My Ankle Late

I got bit by a bug on my ankle late July and it still hasnt gone away. I remember when it bit. It was like a mosquito bite...but a little stronger. I was standing by our pool at the time. Its a small welt, and has a rather small circular scab in the middle of it. Like a crater. It still itches like crazy! It feelss something is alive inside it. Is that possible?
