I got bitten by my domestic dog in Papua New Guinea, at the hospital the wound was washed, a tetanus shot given and amoxycillin prescribed for preventing the wound getting infected. The doctor said this country does not have rabies and hence anti rabies vaccine is not required. Another doctor reconfirmed it but still would like to know
