I Got Caught In Some Dangerous Waves On Beach At

I got caught in some dangerous waves on beach at Makena beach in Maui. The ocean and salt water got logged into my right eardrum. Went to urgent care the next day because of the fluid I felt in my ear. Felt a little better the next day, but thought I should see a doctor anyway. He looked in my right ear and said there was sand and fluid (water), and he prescribed neomycin, pilymyxin-hc. it says to take 4 drops four times per day. I took it in the evening only once, the four drops, but it feels like lots of fluid in my ear. It's more fluid before I took it. I'm afraid to use anymore. Is this a normal thing when first taking this med? I didn't have an ear infection to start with. The Dr said it was in behind the eardrum. I just don't like this clogged feeling! Can I stop this med. after one use and let it go, and hopefully it will drain and clear up on its own? Or is this a normal feeling at first and the fluid will eventually drain or subside? Not sure if I should have left this alone in the first place and let it get better on its own.
