I Got Sick March 14th With A Severe Sore Throat

I got sick March 14th with a severe sore throat and cold symptoms. My throat was so sore I wasn't able to sleep. It felt like there was a lump in my throat. I went to my PCP he thought I had strep and started me on amoxicillin. My throat began to close up and I couldn't swallow so I went to the ER. My tongue was raised on one side. They did a CT scan and it only showed swollen glands. I was sent me home with Augmentin. I still have a sore throat with a feeling of a large lump and a hard time swallowing. My voice is rough and gravelly and sounds like I'm putting the "L" sound. I have a cough from them phlegm. I saw an ENT 4/1/16 and he put me on Protonix thinking it is GERD. I have not had any problems with any acid reflux previous to this. There is no improvement and I am beginning to worry that I have been misdiagnosed.
