I Got These New Pair Of Earrings From My Cousin

I got these new pair of earrings from my cousin and I thought she had cleaned them before she gave them to me. But she didn't.
Both earlobes are somewhat swollen and they hurt when I press on them. My mom put derman's, the athletes foot cream. I want to know if it'll work or what I can do to make it better.
