I Got What I Thought Was A Spider Bite About

I got what I thought was a spider bite about 2 weeks ago. The bit site was quite itchy and red at first. Over time, the itch has gone down greatly. However, to the the side of the bite the skin has swollen quite noticeably and is tender, but not overly painful, to the touch. I'm not sure if this is serious enough to warrant a visit to minor care or if I should just wait and see if it goes away on its own. Any advice? Thanks much! Marlene
