I Grabbed A Hand Rail Yesterday And Then Noticed Some

I grabbed a hand rail yesterday and then noticed some black smudge on my palm. I sniffed it once and it smelled like feces of some kind and I believe I mashed a rat dropping pellet when I grabbed the hand rail. I am in southeast Alabama. Should I worry about contracting hantavirius?
