Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had 7 inches of my colon removed July 14, 2014 because of diverticulitis. I got an infection after the surgery that had to be lanced. After recovering for two months, I started having a discharge ranging from a few drops in the beginning to now I need to wear a mini pad. It comes and goes usually a few days at a time. Color is yellow to brownish to blood. I went to the gyncologist last week. She took vaginal cultures, blood tests that were normal. Ultrasound showed a small cist on right overy. I am 67 and had a hysterectomy 32 years ago. Her diagnosis was vaginal dry skin. This doesn't make since to me because the discharge seems way too much for dry skin. What else could be the problem. I feel her diagnosis is not correct.
