I had Diabetic Ketoacidosis about 3 months ago. That was the first time Diabetes was brought up by any one of my doctors. Now I am losing my hair, my nails are soft and split or tear. Any connection? My glucose count when I had this event was over 500 and I remained in critical care for 2 days and a regular room for another 2 days. One of the doctors in the ER told my husband if he hadn't gotten me there when he did, it probably would have been too late.
