I Had Pleurisy When I Was In Grade 6 (1995)

I had Pleurisy when I was in grade 6 (1995) (primary school). What long term effects will it have I'm now 32 and not only have Asthma, I seem to be getting constant lung infections. Now recently, I'm getting chest pains in the left side of my chest just left of the sternum. I don't believe it to be a heart issue (but then again, I'm not a Dr), what would you thoughts be?
