I Had A 2.1 Bilirubin Level In A Blood Test

I had a 2.1 bilirubin level in a blood test on December 5th 2016 and had another test on January 11th and my reading rose to 2.7. In an ultrasound done in December it was discovered I had an enlarged pleen an slightly fatty liver. I do not drink or smoke and am only slightly overweight. Lastly I have had low ache and occasional shooting pain in the area where my spleen is. My doctor wants me to take a third blood test on Jan 17th and see him on the 25th. Based on all this what are your ideas on what might be causing the high and getting higher bilirubin reading, the enlarged speen and how bad is the 2.7 latest bilirubin reading?
