I Had A Mirena Coil Fitted 6 Years Ago To

I had a Mirena coil fitted 6 years ago to stop heavy bleeding but after my recent smear test the doctor could not find the strings. I went to have a scan, an internal transvaginal scan and a pelvic xray and none of them showed it up. They did say that they saw something which could have been an ovary or a cyst however. I now have to go to see a gynaecologist to discuss mri etc - I am 60 years old and worried!
