I had a TURP on the 17th of June. A Foley was inserted, at that time, and removed on the 29th. Since then I have had zero ability to control my bladder. I only know that I should be in the bathroom when I can feel my pad filling. I try to get to the bathroom as soon as I have that feeling and on occasion there is a very weak stream. I wait and when I think I'm done I change the pad, stand up and more comes out. If I walk I leak, if I bend over I leak, usually a bunch. Is this a reasonably normal post-op effect? Can I expect to get some relief as the healing process continues or am I doomed to using more than 100 pads per week?
