I had a back tooth extracted today - because of a fracture within the root canal.
I have been taking pain meds, antibiotics, and applying ice packs, but I noticed that while there is no facial swelling, the gum line above the extracted area is hard and swollen. I understand the swelling, but Is it normal for the gum tissue to be so hard while swollen?
