I Had A Basal Cell Tumor Scraped 5 Days Ago.

I had a basal cell tumor scraped 5 days ago. Now my dermatologist will treat in 2 weeks--and check cells. What should I do while waiting--that is, should I use a bandaid or keep uncovered. The biopsy indicated the cancer cells but I want to know if I will scar even more since I can not have immediate treatment or re scraping.
