I Had A Blood Sugar Test Last Week And My

I had a blood sugar test last week and my Glucose was 330. I was diagnosed diabetic and was giving a prescription for 500mg Metformin. I do not like taking medications so is there an alternative to the Metformin. I will be seeing a nutritionist to start me on a diet plan to get my sugar under control. All my other lab test were normal.
