I Had A Bump Between My Privates And Bum, It

I had a bump between my privates and bum, it started small and over a week it grew to the size of a small bouncy ball and was purple but no head and the pressure was horrible. The pain was unbearable, I stuck a pin it, put fucidin on it and covered it will a band aid. Woke up in the night to having blood and bloody tissue on my sheets bandaid was soaked I had a Epsom salt bath and chunks of bloody tissue was coming out. I should mention it smlled terrible. It hurts a tny bit now but the pressure is gone and I am to sit and stand without it feeling like the worse pain. is this just an infected ingrown hair?
