I Had A C- Section 5 Months And 12 Days

I had a c- section 5 months and 12 days ago. I ended up with almost 2 liters of fluid in my abdomen causing a large hematoma. It still is painful and i believe it has not gotten any smaller as the doctor said my body will absorb it on its own. How long will that take? will it ever go away? will exercise help? im starting to get really upset because it hurts to wear pants except for one of my maternity pants and I have this big painfull ball in my abdomen. I would just like a professionals opinion
