I Had A Chest Xray Today For A Cough And

I had a chest xray today for a cough and do not have pneumonia. I am having much congestion though and usually take robitussin with plain guifenisen. I also have high blood pressure and have had one incidence of a-Fib. is it safe to take this cough medicine.
