I Had A Colleague Succumb To A Food Allergy After

I had a colleague succumb to a food allergy after eating soft-shelled crab today. Is it true that people who have no food allergy and who are not allergic to seafood whatsoever can have a reaction to soft-shelled crabs because of an enzyme that soft-shelled crabs have that others don't?
