I Had A Colon Resection Due To An Obstruction Which

I had a colon resection due to an obstruction which the doctor said was due to Ischemic Colitis. Since then I've had pain and am taking a mild laxative or stool softener. I also have ascities and cirhosis of the liver.
I am uncomfortable with gas pains and pressure all the time. Was told there is nothing I can do because I am high risk due to heart problems, etc....
