I Had A Colonoscopy On Friday. When I Woke Up

I had a colonoscopy on Friday. When I woke up in the recovery room I had severe bladder pain. I was told I just had to urinate. Now it is Monday and my bladder still hurts most of the time. What should I do about it. I haven't called the dr back yet. Should I be worried or is this a common side effect. Thank you
