I Had A Colonoscopy Which Revealed 45 Precancerous Polyps. Also

I had a colonoscopy which revealed 45 precancerous polyps. Also another 40 polyps which have not yet been removed. I did the saliva test for APC which came back negative. There was a caution in regards to breast cancer though. My colon surgeon recommended that my colon be removed as a preventative for colon cancer? Does the negative APC gene test remove my cancer risk? Do I go ahead with the surgery?
