I Had A Concrete Planter Fall On My Finger....Tuesday Will

I had a concrete planter fall on my finger....Tuesday will be 2 weeks ago. It has remained swollen, with pain upon touch at the first knuckle and doesn't seem to be getting better. Should I have an xray and if I did, what would the treatment be? Would it be different than just Tylenol, ice, and keeping it safe from being hit again? At this point I am wondering if it's broken.
