I Had A Cortisone Shot Yesterday In My Bunion On

I had a cortisone shot yesterday in my bunion on my foot. Today I am in a lot of pain and can barely walk. It is also red in the area the shot was given in the size of about a 2" circle encompassing my bunion. Ibuprofen and aspercream are no relief. Icing gives temporary relief but the pain returns once the cold numbness wears off. Is this normal? Will the pain subside in a day or two? Or should I go to the urgent care?
