I Had A Duodenal Ulcer Diagnosed By An Endoscopy And

I had a duodenal ulcer diagnosed by an endoscopy and have been on generic priolosec for about 2 months. Had a repeat endoscopy today and gastroenterologist gave me the good news it was healed but to keep on taking the med and see him again in 2 months. Taking 80 mg. daily. But I still have pain in that same area. Is this normal? A part of the complete healing process? BTW this began about 18 months after gastric bypass and was located right at the joining point.
