I Had A Filling Replaced 24 Hrs Ago. I Had

I had a filling replaced 24 hrs ago. I had no pain going into the dentist and left with moderate pain. After he filled the tooth he couldn't get floss through it. He yanked and broke several pieces of floss. The teeth he was flossing between are now loose and I am in the most insane pain I've ever felt. Ive taken lots of advil and percoceot and nothing numbs the pain except applying upward pressure on the tooth with my fingers. Why would this be?
