I Had A Fractured Molar Extracted On Dec 7, #

I had a fractured molar extracted on Dec 7, # 18 the back tooth on the lower left jaw. I also had an infection and abcess in conjunction with the broken tooth. I took antibiotics and Motrin for 10 days to clear up the infection. For about 3 weeks I have experienced tingling, numbness and occasional mild pain in the lower left front of the jaw. My dentist conducted a follow-up exam this a.m. and concluded that it is parathesia. Looking at the X-rays, the infection was likely the cause. It can take 6 to 8 months to heal - if not resolved by then I should consult a neurologist. My question: are there any therapeutic treatments I can apply that may help the nerve heal?
