I Had A Frequent Urge To Urinate. It Was Painful

I had a frequent urge to urinate. It was painful and produced a little blood more like a small clot. I felt better and just now it occurred again 24 hrs after the first incident but with a larger clot expelled about the size of a dime but flat. Should I go in for a urine test?
