I Had A Ganglion Cyst On My Foot And Had

I had a ganglion cyst on my foot and had it drained three times and a steroid was injected after two of the extractions. I noticed the cyst coming back, but it had a head on it like an infected pimple. I poked it with a sanitized needle and a puss like matter came out and then the cyst seemed to disappear. The area where the cyst was looks tanned or lightly bruised and I occasionally have pain in the foot in the area where the cyst was. Is this something I should be concerned with?
