I Had A High Impact Water Tubing Accident Years Ago

I had a high impact water tubing accident years ago that left me unable to breathe for 30 seconds. I should have seen a doctor but did not. This was 23 years ago. I was thrown up in the air and slammed into the water extremely hard. Now! Over the years my back has gotten worse. My pain stems in the lumbar and mostly in the upper thoracic area. When I breathe it is becoming alittle painful with pressure. Please let me know some sort of idea what it could be.
