I Had A Horrible, Violent Reaction Of Nausea And Vomiting

I had a horrible, violent reaction of nausea and vomiting after cataract surgery. The anesthesia that was used was 100 mg of fentanyl and 2 mg of midazolam. The anesthesiologist said I would be semi conscious for the surgery and the after effects would only last two or three hours. But I was completely unconscious during the surgery (which was not helpful to the surgeon ) and had miserable vomiting afterward. The anesthesiologist had left the surgery center and the nurses tried two medications to control the vomiting without result. Finally they reached the anesthesiologist by cel and he gave the ok for " compazine" which controlled the vomiting. Did he give me too much? I am a small woman, less than 120 lbs. I was very unhappy with the level of care, very rushed! I feel he should have waited or talked about what he was really giving me and the possible side effects.
