I Had A Infection From A Molar, For Over A

I had a infection from a molar, for over a month till I had it removed by oral surgeon, about two weeks ago I noticed swollen neck over the collarbone. I took penicillin 500 mg but finished five days after surgery. will moist heat or ice help reduce swelling?
