I Had A Injury On The Side Of My Right

I had a injury on the side of my right knee today from slipping on the edge of a pool when trying to catch my 2 year old neice from falling. It was red around the area at first and then once I got home it started swelling and now it's a really big ugly bruise and it hurts when I move or bend my leg in certain ways and i just decided to limp on it from now on. Should I see some one about this? Should I go to a doctor?
