I Had A Injury To The Top Of My Head

I had a injury to the top of my head a month ago and the doctor put dissolvable stitches in. I thought they would be gone but they're still visibly there. I just read I shouldn't have pulled the scab off but it's to late now. Because of the location are these stitches probably the 6 month ones?? They are annoying but I can deal with them if I know how long it will take. Thanks
