I Had A Lap Chole May 22, One Week Later

I had a lap chole May 22, one week later I had an infection. The site above the belly button was indurated and red. It has drained off and on, occasionally mucky, but mostly clear brown. The last time it drained the Dr punctured the wound and drained it, then it never drained again and the wound healed. This was 2 weeks ago. I saw another Dr 10 days ago and it was still hard, no increasing redness, just localized to the hard area. He was not concerned about draining it as there is no longer a tunnel under the skin along the wound. What should I do now, will the induration dissipate on its own?
