I Had A Left Temporal Craniotomy To Remove A Lemon

I had a left temporal craniotomy to remove a lemon sized choroid meningioma. My 5-month MRI indicates evolving postoperative changes in the left temporal lobe with the appearance of encephalomalacia. I googled encephalomalacia and it is a horrible diagnosis. Can the softening of the brain happen only where they removed the tumor or will it continue to damage the rest of my brain until I become a vegetable?
