I Had A Manicure One Week Ago. I Can See

I had a manicure one week ago. I can see a small cut in the cuticle and have felt pain all day as if an infection is occurring. The pain is somewhat of a shooting pain that goes through my hand and arm. I don't see any swelling but am wondering what to do. Soak? Use an antibiotic ointment?
