I Had A Mesh Place Over My Hernia On My

I had a mesh place over my hernia on my stomach last year in April. I have been gaining weight and I watch what I eat everyday. Some thing is wrong my stomach hurts more now than before. I went back to my doctor 2 months later he said nothing was wrong and not to gain weight. How do I lose this weight
