I Had A Miscarriage In Early September And Ectopic Pregnancy

I had a miscarriage in early September and ectopic pregnancy couldn't be ruled out because no chorionic villi were passed. I went to get an HSG yesterday to check my tubes were clear and they couldn't do it because my cervix was too posterior (i was on cycle day 6 ). The doctor also said my cervix was very pink. I don't understand why the doctor stopped. Last year she did the test on me and had no troubles. Does miscarriage change the position of the cervix? I miscarried at only five weeks. I have to book an appointment to see my gynaecologist to discuss other options. Is it possible if i tried again later there would be no problems? The GA with forceps option sounds very scary.
