I Had A Molar Extracted Today Upper Left, B4 I

I had a molar extracted today upper left, b4 I had it pulled I had severe pain shooting from my tooth up to my temple, new dentist took an xray and said it was rotten underneath the filling wanted to try and save it but I said no I'm in too much pain and I want it pulled. Well after I got it pulled and all the numbness went away I still have that th robbing pain in my temple, will that pain go away in a day or two when the hole starts to heal?
