I Had A Nagging, Non-productive Cough For Several Weeks. After

I had a nagging, non-productive cough for several weeks. After a few days i started have sharp abdominal pains when I coughed. It felt like something was being severely strained around my stomach area. It is all gone now, but i just noticed a slight bruise very near the spot of the pain. Could the bruise be related to the pain i felt?
