I Had A Persistent Cough For Over A Week. No

I had a persistent cough for over a week. No phlegm, no sore throat, irritated esophagus and sour taste on my tongue. Is it a viral infection that passes through and no bacterial infection? My cough is becoming less and less now, but I still cough every now and then. Please advice.
